Recently I was approached about writing a column for Girlphoria. I must admit it really did catch me by surprise. However, I was overjoyed and I accepted.

At first I thought it would be a very simple thing to just write stuff down that would interest people. Boy was I wrong!

I had a really difficult time trying to figure out what to talk to you, the reader, about. I mean, yeah, I’m a Porn Star, but how many times are you going to read the same “this is my favorite position statement.” I mean, sure, I like to talk about that too, but there's so much more.

Girlphoria is a magazine that’s by women for women and I wanted to write about other things, important issues that happen in my life that maybe can help you in yours. I mean, just because you’re a Hair Stylist, doesn’t mean that you’re not a good cook also.

We as women are layers and layers of interesting things, sensations, and emotions and so, that’s what I wanted to write about.
Oh, if anyone has any questions about anything at all, please feel free to either ask me, or if you can wait and see what topic of conversation I can come up with in the next issue.

I'd like to take a moment to give you a little background about my life’s choices and the direction these different roads have taken me. I became a mother at the tender age of 18. And with the responsibilities of motherhood and trying to work as a dancer, I never went to college.
Then as I was dancing I started modeling and at 26 ended up doing Adult Films. Not my first choice in profession, but it really helped me to get to know humanity in its most primal form. Not to mention, getting to know myself as a

woman. I guess aside from the fact that other things in my life took priority, I really didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I always knew I’d know it when I saw it, which brings me to the topic of this issue’s conversation.

Last year three very wonderful things happened.

First, my younger sister was pregnant with her 3rd child and asked me to be in the delivery room when the time came for her son to be born. Unfortunately, after 22 hours of labor she had some complications and had to have a C section. Bummer, I would’ve liked to have seen that, but I can’t complain the experience, just to be there, was amazing. And now I have a nephew.

Second, 2 months later, my cousin was in labor and asked me to be there for her. This was a Natural birth and it was the most amazing thing I had ever been through. Even when it's you that's strapped down, in pain, contractions coming every 60 seconds it's still a beautiful thing. But, when you're on the outside looking at a new life coming forth, well, that's some SHIT!!!!

It amazed me how, as a woman, you know instinctively how to assist in a birth. YES, I actually assisted! I helped keep her calm and focused. And I helped her to sit up to help advance the dilation. And finally when it was time, all the doctor had to do was catch the baby as she came out.

Don't get me wrong, giving birth to my daughter was the best night of my life. Yes, it was painful and terrifying, but it was perfect and the outcome was so worth the hard work. I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I just had never witnessed anything more totally female in my life. You know, it's one thing when you're strapped down and it's another thing to get first row seats. Both are very amazing in their own right. I know that it sounds very cliché to say this, but there is no miracle more beautiful than to witness life come forth into the world. And really, there's nothing more female either.

Needless to say the 3rd of the wonderful things came around because of these 2 major events. I decided to go back to school, yes, school and become a Midwife. And I'm happy to say, that I start in the fall.

I understand that sometimes, we as women get side tracked and life has a way of throwing curves, but the one thing to remember is that there’s a reason for everything and everything happens when the time is right.

What I'm trying to say is, if you don't know what you're meant to do right now, don't worry you'll know it when you see it. I did.

Now go enjoy your erotic Life.
