here it is a new year and I am not any more organized than I was last year... I am not any slimmer... if anything I have added weight... I am not any wiser ... Most of the time i am exploring... sometimes crying from release, sometimes from frustration, sometimes from pain...
I am one very small step closer to living instead of existing... I walk 2 miles daily... I am eating better although not near right... I am pursuing things that interest, excite and honor me...
Yesterday I received a catalog in the mail from isabellacatelog.com. It is a spiritual healing site and it had so many wonderful quotes and ideas and books that read it cover to cover...then I bought spiritual divorce... I want my divorce to be a positive event because I still love and respect he man I am(is it proper to say am when one is going through this?) married to and I hope that we will be friends as maybe we should have been in the very beginning...
Now that my marriage is over - I will be trying to take each and every day as a gift and start it like a new adventure... always making time for myself and for my children.
I guess what i am trying to say is this
times change... people grow...
Girlphoria has been has always gone to the fight
always trying to move women's desires to the front of the table...That is changing...
now in honoring our desires
we will let the fight come to usBlessed be...

Two months ago I discovered a lump/bump in my lower abdomen. I thought it was a lump of fat. [Note: I hate going to the doctor - I would rather try on swimsuits on Main Street - white fat thighs in full view then to go to the doctor yet something told me to go. On May 14 I went to the doctor thinking I was silly to have kept the appointment. 20 minutes later I was scheduled for an ultrasound.. Seems we were talking tumor ... well it's all so scary. To take some of the fear out of this next adverture I decided ...It's my uterus is my journal, here on Girlphoria about pain, confusion, anger and fear women go through when a hysterectomy is mentioned.

This week as I prepared to update the site I found myself in correspondence with man that's parents survived the holocaust. In writing to him I said " I didn't find out that my grandmother was Jewish until after she died. She hid it when she came over to this country. Isn't that horrible to have to hide who you are ..."
After I sent that note I thought... that's Girlphoria material. Women have been facing this since the beginning of time. Afraid to speak up about what they want, afraid to say no - afraid to seek enjoyment in sexual relationships - afraid to seek just pleasure for it's own sake. Afraid of not only being accepted but out of persecution for having these thoughts.
I wonder how many of you feel that way. Gays have been able to come out of the closet, but women, Bi, Straight or Gay still hide. WHY?
I try to speak freely about my needs and I have been hurt by people that are afraid of me.... afraid of what I represent. I find that women like myself speak volumes on independent thinking. We are NOT sheep! We do not wait for someone to tell us it is okay to do this or that - just like we do not listen when anyone tells us our hungers are perverted.
In a time when power is in the herding of sheep and love and understanding are offered in teaspoon helpings under strictly adhered to guidelines. People like us, not just women, turn a deaf ear. Because we understand that nurturing and loving is unconditional and endless. And the only power one has comes from within, not from armies of "loyal" non-thinkers.
So put down the green kool aide , the upside down triangles, the good book. It is time we all come out of your closets and live out your fantasies, spread some positive energies and take fear out of our vocabulary.

Today I saw a billboard to stamp out pornography. And as I flipped channels I saw a television evangelists rage on about of the evils of pornography. I found this funny.
As our brave military fight the war on terrorism, battle a religious faction that suppresses the free will and desires of it's people and threatened to force it's beliefs on others, we are here at home being brain washed by our own brand of sheep herders. So tell me, what ever happened to free will in the free world?
Are we teaching our children our husbands, wives, lovers that they are not responsible for their behavior, their choices, their own pleasure, that they can blame their desires on the media, the Internet, adult magazines and books?
Does the Concerned women of America, the NCL, the ProFamily Group and the Justice Department really think you can define pornography and in doing so rid the world it?
Sex(uality) and it's pursuit are directly tied into our own pursuit of happiness. It is the emancipation of all people. It is complex. It is power(ful).
But maybe this isn't about suppressing sex or riding the country of "pornography'. Maybe this is more about control and fear and money.
Many believe, myself included, that suppressing the expressions of sex, leads to its perversion. That the taboo actually strengthens the desire and need for the very thing that being censored.
If this theory is true than in many ways this like insider trading. Imagine being a respected corporation or leader of family values and either by example or preaching, censor sex. Can you imagine the possibilities?
Fact: Psychology Today asked 20,000 readers whether they had ever used erotic material for arousal, 92 percent of the male respondents and 72 percent of the females reported that they had.
Fact: Ladies Home Journal readership poll showed 47% of women use erotica or pornography to heighten lovemaking.
Fact: Nearly 20 percent of all pornos are rented by heterosexual couples.
Fact: 21 million Americans, visits one of the more than 60,000 sex sites on the Web at least once a month - more people than go to sports or government sites.
Fact: 50 percent of all Omni Hotel guests order sex films from their rooms.
- Fact: Americans buy or rent more than $800 million a year worth of graphic sex videos a year.
Fact: Chains like Tower Records now stock nearly 500 titles in their so-called erotic category, far more than films about history or dinosaurs.
The line between mainstream and pornography has blurred. Porn stars chat on radio programs and appear on album covers. R-rated films veer into X-rated territory. Television tilts toward the risque, from bare buttocks on "NYPD Blue" to the bed-hopping antics of HBO's "Sex in the City."
Sex is money, sex is power, sex is control. Don't let some else tell you that sex is bad, because they are either afraid or using your fear.
Enjoy!

As you may have noticed. There is no schedule to the updates. As i get in interviews, review, commentaries and fiction I will add them! It is easier that way - for now - until Olivia comes back to Girlphoria.
For those wanting to know Olivia is doing better these days and hopes to back at Girlphoria in the fall. I for one can't wait! Look for articles on Ashcroft and the state of surfing for porn. Is there such thing as the privacy of your own home.
New inside an interview with one of Radical cheerleaders, a story from Prima C. Also I hope you enjoyed our gallery by Zille of darkplay and x-muse. It features her lover Alexi who is so yummy! We have a new gallery this month from ColletteX.
Write me let me know what you think of our galleries!
"Erotica is the doorway to the sexual imagination, and for those who are readers of erotica understand this." anon
Speaking of pictures, as you may remember from my last posting, the photo is not me.. but of a woman named Marie Silva. Marie is a dancer (stripper) with very small but beautiful breast - an almost unheard of thing in that industry. I am still waiting to hear from her.
Look for more updates ... and as always we are looking for articles, poetry, reviews and commentary so write away.. RIGHT AWAY! we are growing again!
